Hayley Rian Orren

July 28, 1999 — November 18, 2022

Goose Creek

On July 28, 1999, in Portsmouth, VA the world was given the gift of a strong-willed, kind, compassionate and loving young woman, a joy to those who knew her. Hayley Rian Orren, 23, of Goose Creek, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2022. Hayley was the oldest daughter of parents Christina Orren and John Noble.

She graduated from Stratford High School, a proud Lady Knight and unabashed ‘Courtyard Kid.’ Hayley is remembered for her loyalty to others, her gentle spirit, her infectious smile and her love for her two younger brothers, Tyler and Justus. Hayley enjoyed being with others regardless of the reason—she was a friend to all. She shared adventurous trips with family around the US, many boat outings, beach trips, national parks, and time on motor vehicles. Hayley attended Northwood Academy, Westview Middle School and was a 2018 graduate of Stratford High School. Hayley was a proud Army JROTC cadet and played golf at SHS for three years, responsible for re-invigorating the Lady Knights’ golf program—she even recorded a ‘hole-in-one’ on the local golf course. She loved being part of the Naval Weapons Station Charleston All Saints Chapel family, relishing her role as a greeter.  She played many sports growing up, with her grandfather serving frequently as her coach. She loved to sing and dance, and write songs and poems.  She lived joyfully, graciously, and always demonstrated love and courage.

Hayley will be forever alive in the hearts of her mother and father, Christina and John; her two younger brothers Tyler and Justus; her grandparents Dale and Theresa Orren, Wayne and Sandy Noble, Aunt Erin and Uncle Jason Phalen, Uncle Nick and Aunt Ashley Orren, Uncle James Noble, cousins Hannah and Bennett Phalen, great-grandparents Sandra and Michael Mugler, along with many other relatives across the US.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, 10 December 2022, at 11:00AM at the Naval Weapons Station Charleston All Saints Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, Dorchester Paws or to Flanders Fields. Family and friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Hayley with the family by visiting www.mcalister-smith.com.
