Helen Marie Peterson

Helen Marie Peterson, 81 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 with her loving husband by her side.

Born on June 8, 1941 in Milford, CT was a daughter of the late Florence Maaser (McGraw) and Henry Maaser.

Helen enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her family. Helen was a member of Crowfield Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her Sunday school class.  

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her siblings, Hank Maaser and Dollie Maaser. 

Helen is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Peterson, her daughters, Debra McCay (Michael), Marina Jones (Randy) Lorelie Moran (Brian), sons Jeff Peterson (Page), Greg Peterson(Michaela)and Ronnie Peterson. She was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Tuesday, 22nd of November, 2022, from  6:00 PM -  8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, South Carolina. 

The service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Crowfield Baptist Church , 100 Hunters Ln in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The burial will be held at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation .
