With deep faith and boundless love, Irene Eleanor Lippitt, 92 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Better known as Rene or Grandma.
Born on January 1, 1933, in Toronto, Canada and was a daughter of the late Marjorie McCullough (Mitchell) and George McCullough.
Irene is survived by her loving daughter, Leslie Hartley, husband Paul, grandchildren Hunter and Kyle. Bradley Kohl her son, wife Joanne, grandchildren Nathan, Hunter and Tyler and great granddaughter Ellison, and a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to know her radiant spirit.
A devoted Catholic whose life revolved around her love for the Lord, she lived her faith with quiet grace, joyful prayer, and unwavering kindness. She was the heart of her family — a nurturing mother, an adoring grandmother, and a friend whose hugs will linger long after she let go.
She built an accomplished career in residential real estate in Greenville, South Carolina, earning numerous awards and the respect of colleagues and clients alike for her integrity and warmth. Yet her proudest professional moment came later in life when she poured her heart into writing and publishing a beloved children’s book — a treasure her family will forever hold close.
For years she brought joy to countless people as a dedicated line dancing instructor, kicking up her heels and teaching others to do the same with infectious enthusiasm. Music filled her soul, bridge sharpened her mind, and laughter followed her everywhere.
