James Thomas Milz

James Thomas Milz, 60, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Born on July 19, 1965, in Clark Air Base, Philippines, James was the son of the late Teresa Huypungco Milz and the late Lowell Milz.

James served his country through his 8-year enlistment with the United States Marine Corps. He later served his community through his 23-year employment with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office as a law enforcement officer. On his own time, Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved all things hunting and fishing.

James is preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Milz; his children, Sarah & Joshua Milz; his sister, Janet Cottone; his sister, Brenda Elrod; his nieces and nephews; and many close friends and colleagues.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at McAlister-Smith in Goose Creek. The funeral service will be immediately following at 12:00 PM.
