James Alan Yoakam, 62 of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Born on March 3, 1963, in Findaly, OH, Jim was the son of the late Sally Ann (Gibson) Yoakam and Don John Yoakam.

Jim has been married for 31 years to the love of his life Christina. Their fur baby Missy joined them 13 years ago and Daisy Mae was added to the family 2 yrs ago. Together they spent many of their vacations and days off riding their motorcycle through the mountains with friends. He always had a lunch destination and enjoyed being a foodie. One of his favorite passions was trying to find the best shrimp and grits.

Jim worked as a machinist; he loved his job and had enjoyed working in that profession for the past 26 years.

Jim was a very quiet man with a huge heart. As a final act of kindness Jim gave hope and life by donating his liver and two kidneys to 3 individuals giving them and their families the chance at a healthy new life.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Sally Yoakam; and his sister Dawn Scully.

Jim is survived by his wife, Christina Lynn (Geisser) Yoakam; son, Sean John Yoakam; and his sister, Angela Lynn Yoakam.

A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for a later date.
