Jean Patricia Hall, 92, of Port Royal, South Carolina, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Jean a long-time resident of Rome, New York relocated to Port Royal, South Carolina to be near her daughter, Debbie. She loved her new home, enjoyed her new friends and became a self-proclaimed "Carolina Girl".

Jean was born September 19, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Campbell and Jule (Corcoran) Campbell. She was united in marriage to Thomas Nelson Hall for 45 years until his passing on September 2004.

Jean attended Rome Free Academy, worked many years as a cashier and was a long-time member of St. Mary's Church. Always young at heart, she was a free-spirit, loved a good laugh and added energy to family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking, hosting family gatherings, and organizing memorable games like pie throwing for the grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jean was dedicated to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and pets. She was committed to helping animals and children. She contributed regularly to the ASPCA, St. Jude's Children Hospital and cared for her wild cats.

Jean is survived by her daughter Debbie (Epting) Lynch and son-in-law, Dennis Lynch of Beaufort, SC; brother, James Campbell; three grandchildren: Abigail Lynch (Eric MacMillan), Nora Krasowski (Paul) and Anna Lynch; five great-grandchildren (Miles, Pacey, Graham, Bailee and Miren), sister-in-law Sandra and 10 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband Thomas (Lucky) Hall, sister, Anne Grande and brother, Joseph Campbell.

A service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
