John Charles " Buzz " Eskey, Jr.

John Charles " Buzz " Eskey Jr., 74, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Goose Creek.

Born on July 8, 1948 in McKeesport, PA, Buzz was the son of the late Anna Eskey (Trbovic) and John Charles Eskey, Sr..

Buzz worked in the Automotive Repair Industry and Firth Sterling Steel Mill in Pennsylvania before moving to South Carolina in 1986 where he then went to work for the JW Aluminum Plant near Goose Creek in Maintenance and then as Precision Roll Grinder.  He retired after 31 years of service.  Following retirement, he went to work with the Charleston County Parks Commission at the Wannamaker County Park.  Buzz enjoyed attending Auctions, caring for his yard and the yard at the Church where he was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goose Creek.  Buzz will be long noted and remembered for his contributions and many projects he handled at the church.  Buzz served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy.

Buzz  is preceded in death by his parents.  In addition to his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Anne " Betty " (Hartman) Eskey of Ladson, SC, Buzz is also survived by his his daughters, Cortney l. Dukes (Paul) of North Charleston, SC and Erin Eskey of Redbank, TN; his sister, Shirley Crock (Thomas) Delmont, PA; his grandson and apple of his eye, Dylan Dukes of North Charleston.  Buzz is also survived by numerous members of his extended family.

A Mass of the Resurrection to honor Buzz's life will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, South Carolina 29445.  Father Frank Palmieri, CRM will be the celebrant.  Inurnment will follow the mass at the church columbarium.
