John Lyle Haffeman

John Lyle Haffeman, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026. 

Born on August 29, 1931, in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Leana Johnson Haffeman and the late Clarence Haffeman. 

John was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. He wrote and had published a book about his experience in Korea. 

John is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Haffeman and Lena Faith Haffeman; and siblings: Charles Haffeman, Donna Courtney, June Meyer and Dale Haffeman.

John is survived by his wife, June Haffeman; and children: Diane Glass, Linda Reineke, Robert Haffeman and Julie Boselli.

There will be a ceremony to celebrate John's life at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Somerby Residence, and will be open to all.
