John Raymond Leonard, 91 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Born on November 4, 1932, in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, John was the son of the late John R. Leonard and Sadie O'Neill Leonard. 

John, known as Jack by his friends and family, enlisted in the Air Force and served his Country for 27 years. During his military career, he was assigned to Air Force One, served courageously in Vietnam, and took on many leadership roles as a Chief Master Sergeant. After serving in the Air Force, he also led a long and distinguished career as a senior power plant maintenance technician for Santee Cooper in South Carolina. Jack was a wise counselor to his friends and family and an exceptional patriot.

In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Drabant Leonard, and siblings, Margaret, Paul, Leo, Eileen, Mary Ann, and twins Mary and Elizabeth who died at birth.

Jack is survived by his daughter Michelle Leonard, sons Michael Leonard and Daniel Leonard, his granddaughters Erin Cleveland, and Molly Leonard, grandson Mitchell Leonard, great-grandson Jack Cleveland and great-granddaughter, Quinn Cleveland. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery upon notification by Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
