John Joseph Ward, Jr., age 68, of Summerville, SC, passed peacefully on Sunday night, May 29, 2022.

John was born February 11, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a son of late John J. Ward, Sr. and Frances Ann Ward. He graduated from DeSales University in 1976. John worked numerous construction jobs before entering the pharmaceutical industry where he was promoted and became a senior auditor for manufacturing compliance, enabling him to travel to many different countries around the world. John retired from the pharmaceutical industry in 2019. John loved sailing, fishing, and gardening. He also loved watching thunderstorms and following his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. His passion and love for science and care for others will be missed by all.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia A. Ward (Summerville), his son Mike Ward and wife Rochelle Ward (Albany, NY), daughter Megan E. Ward (Summerville), and son Ian Ward and Theresa Zippilli (Asheville, NC), his brother Joe Ward (Wildwood, NJ), his sister Maureen Stanishewski  and husband Joe Stanishewski, Sr. (Downingtown, PA), his nephews Joey Stanishewski and family (Downingtown, PA) and Matt Stanishewski and family (Bennington, VT) and niece Katie Stanishewski (Downingtown, PA), and many cousins and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Dorchester Paws, 136 Four Paws Lane, Summerville SC 29483.

Services for John are being held privately within the family.
