Johnny McDowell, 64 years old, of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on May 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Charleston, SC, John was the son of the late Walter & Elizabeth McDowell. John is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth and her children, his son, John, Jr. and his beloved dog, his sister, Mary and her family.
Johnny was a Master Mechanic, then Customer Service Manager, for 40 years, at Hudson’s Import Services. He always wore a touch of orange or purple – the superior colors. Saturdays and Sundays were reserved for Clemson and Steelers games. He was an avid lover of cats, until he met Bella (his grand-dog). You would never meet anyone with more eclectic taste in music or a more kind and generous soul. His intelligence and humor were beyond words.
His family and work family will honor him at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Hudson’s Import Services (1072 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
All friend and family are welcome to drive-by between 3:00PM and 4:00PM, offer an ‘air hug’, honk, a smile and wave. (No in-person services are planned at this time, due to quarantine restrictions.)
