Listen to Obituary

Jordan McLane, 29, passed away on December 24, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina. Born on November 11, 1996, in Rochester, New York, Jordan brought light and warmth into the world from the very beginning.

Jordan was the kind of person who made an impression wherever he went. With a vibrant personality and a welcoming spirit, he had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Whether it was a lifelong friend or someone he had just met, Jordan made everyone feel seen and valued. His laughter was infectious, his energy uplifting, and his presence unforgettable.

He found joy in many things, but few brought him as much peace as being on the water. Boating and fishing were more than hobbies-they were moments of serenity where Jordan felt most at home. He also loved golfing with friends and family, where the game was often secondary to the laughter and camaraderie shared along the way.

Jordan's love for animals was profound and unwavering. Dogs especially held a special place in his heart. It seemed that every dog instinctively understood Jordan's gentle soul; they were drawn to him just as people were. His beloved fur children, Dory and Crush McLane, were constant companions who brought him endless joy.

He is deeply missed by his parents, Rena and Keith McLane; his life partner, Sarah Lynch; his brother, Ian McLane, and Ian's fiancé, Madison Nicely; his cousins, aunts, and uncles; and his cherished dog and cat, Dory and Crush. Jordan's memory is also held close by those who knew him, best-friends who became family through shared experiences and countless moments of laughter.

Jordan was preceded in death by his cousin Brandon McLane and grandmothers Barbara McLane and Rosie Smock.

Though his time with us was far too short, Jordan lived fully-with heart, humor, compassion, and an openness that touched everyone around him. His legacy is one of kindness, connection, and joy. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
