Karl Heinz Ebeling, 84, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Born on November 29, 1941, in Germany, Karl was the son of the late in Maria Little and the late Arthur Little.

Karl Ebeling, an extraordinary man known for his kindness, loyalty, and no-nonsense strength, passed away surrounded by the family he adored. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and a life lived with purpose.

Born in Germany, Karl emigrated to the United States with his mother, Maria, after his father went missing in the war. They settled in Harlem, New York, where Maria later married Arthur Little, giving Karl an instant family and a foundation of stability and love that shaped the rest of his life.

Karl proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he married Signa Ebeling, and together they shared 61 years of life, family, and love. Their marriage was a partnership built on history, love, and a deep connection.

Karl and Signa raised two daughters, Naomi and Kim, who were the pride of his life. In 1978, the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, eventually settling in the Sugar House neighborhood, where they found a charming cottage that became their haven. Karl loved that home — the comfort of the neighborhood, the lifelong friendships formed there, and the memories created within its walls. He was incredibly social and loved bringing people together; their home became a gathering place, and he was known for hosting great parties.

Karl was a true outdoorsman — an avid skier and golfer who enjoyed being active and being outdoors. He made friends easily and kept them for decades. People appreciated him because he was straightforward, genuine, and the kind of man who would always tell you the truth, whether you were ready for it or not.

He will be remembered for his honesty, his devotion to his family, his remarkable work ethic, and the way he showed up for the people he cared about — solid, steady, and without expectation of anything in return. He will be dearly Missed.

Karl is survived by his wife, Signa Ebeling; daughters, Naomi Fisch and Kim Boerman; grandchildren: James Bushman, Foster Boerman, Jason Bushman, and Jade Boerman; great-grandson, Hudson Bushman; Son-in-laws Steven Fisch and Randy Boerrman; and sister, Rebecca Franks.

A service will be held at a future time in 2026 in the mountains of Utah.
