Kathryn Louise "Kaydee" Duckworth

Kathryn Louise Duckworth, a self-taught painter and devoted Catholic, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 82.

Kaydee was deeply committed to the Lord and her faith guided her gently to her eternal rest. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Born on November 24, 1941, in Logansport, IN. Kaydee was a caring, loving, supportive wife, mom, sister and friend. A talented painter, and a longtime member of the Redding Art League, she created beautiful artworks - some of her favorite subjects were flowers, especially Iris, and she also loved to paint portraits of her family. She wanted the best for everyone and with genuine curiosity, a cheery smile, and warm words of encouragement, she did her best to bring joy and smiles to the lives of those she met. Kaydee was kind and strong to the end of her life, facing each challenge with inspiring courage and bravery. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Kaydee is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen (White) McTaggart. She is survived by her sister, Sue Bredenberg (Terry).

She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, James Raymond Duckworth; two daughters, Theresa Duckworth and Marie Davis; three sons, Andrew Duckworth (Leah), John Duckworth (Kristi), and Michael Duckworth; as well as six grandchildren - Baze Duckworth, Nya Duckworth, Cedar Duckworth, Vincent Davis, Royal Duckworth, Dave Mitchon, and Donalson Fanord.
