Kenneth Dean Stone, 80, formerly of Edgewater, Florida, residing at the time of his death on Wadmalaw Island, SC, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2022. 

Kenneth was born on September 22, 1942 to the late Walter and Wilma (Absher) Stone of North Wilkesboro, NC.  Ken was preceded in death by his infant brother, Louie, and his sister, Janice Byrd of Edgewater, FL.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gail of 57 years; two sons, Jeffrey (Ashley) and Lance (Amy) of Wadmalaw Island, SC; four grandchildren: Ryan (Cadence), Sarah, Amelia, and Cooper, all living on Wadmalaw Island, SC; brothers, Ray of Edgewater FL and Stanley (Toni) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; four nephews and five nieces.

Kenneth was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.  After his discharge on September 22, 1964, he came to Edgewater, FL where he met and married his wife.

Kenneth worked for Appenzellar Glass Company of Daytona, FL as a glazier and automatic door specialist for many years.

Kenneth deeply loved his church, family, and friends.  He loved to travel, watch NASCAR races, and any activity his grandchildren were involved in.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Oak Hill on Halifax Avenue.  The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution should be made to, 302 S. Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325 (Presbyterian Orphanage) or First Baptist Church of Oak Hill, PO Box 89, Oak Hill, FL 32759.
