Kevin Marc Winter

Kevin Marc Winter, 64, of Johns Island, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Born on March 11, 1959, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Judith Abrams Ramer (Abrams) and the late Stanley Winter. 

Kevin attended Miami Beach High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida in 1981.

Kevin started his career in New York City and worked for over 25 years as a trader on Wall Street while raising his family in Ossining, NY. During his childhood in Miami Beach and adulthood in New York, he made many friends that remained special to him throughout his life. Kevin was a member of the Seabrook Island Exchange Club and was an avid tennis player. He loved music, movies, the beach, and cheering for the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins. Kevin was a devoted father to his three children and loved nothing more than spending time with them at the beach, on the tennis court, or at a new restaurant. He had an infectious personality and made friends wherever he went.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Judith Ramer and Stanley Winter.

Kevin is survived by his children: Tara Winter, Philip Winter, and Alyson Winter; his former wife and lifelong friend, Cindy Garr Winter; and his sister, Karen Stahl (Len); along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all, including the extended Abrams and Garr families.

A service and reception will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation - West Ashley, 2501 Bees Ferry Road in Charleston, South Carolina.
