Lawrence Lutz

Lawrence Lutz, 75 of Johns Island, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Born on May 4, 1947 in Manhattan, NY was the son of the late Rose Ann Lutz (Farmer) and Lawrence Lutz.

 “To know him was to love him” is a quote that seemed to be written for Larry. He was the kindest man who made everyone always feel like part of the family. He was an avid runner and completed multiple marathon races most notably the NYC Marathon and most recently the Kiawah Island ½ Marathon at 68 years young! But what he LOVED most of all was his family and he lived for being with his grandchildren and watching them participate in all the of their various sports.

Lawrence is preceded in death by Lawrence Lutz (Father), Rose Ann Lutz (Mother).

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Charlene Lutz; sons, Jeff (Dianna) Lutz, and Shawn Lutz; daughters, Jennie (Joshua) Ball and Megan (Kenny) Kearney; eight grandchildren, Jackson (18), Delaney (16), Brady (13), Parker (9), Quinn (7), Sawyer Jean (6), Kennedy (5) and Hudson (3); brother, Joe Lutz and several nephews & nieces.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 Saint Teresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
