Lester Aaron Cruz, 21 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Born on April 8, 2005 in Hempstead, NY, he was a son of Arlen Cruz Medina.

Lester put God first always. He loved to play sports and one of his favorite was boxing. He loved to go to the gym and work out. He loved music and he loved to dance. He loved anime and was big into Marvel superheroes. He like to read.

Lester always thought of everybody else before he thought of himself. He cared for his friends and family, especially his sisters. He had a special place in his heart for the Castro family, especially his godparents, Eujenio and Luz Castro.

Lester loved spending time with his friends: Abraham, Ethan, Jared, Chato, JR, Brooke, Hannah, Tyler, and Ricardo

Lester is survived by his mother, Arlen Y. Cruz Medina and step-father, Ruben Gutierrez; his little sisters, Natali D Gomez and Anamaria Gutierrez; grandmother, Edilia Medina; uncles: Tavo Cruz, Omar Núñez, Oscar Núñez, and Jorge Cruz; aunts: Edilia Nunez, Emely Martinez, Nena Cruz, and Sandra Cruz; cousins: Angie Gomez, Sofia Gomez, Ariana Gomez, Miguel Gomez Jr., Omar Nunez, Isabel Nunez, Oscar Nunez, Jaden Cruz, Aiden Cruz, Samuel Cruz, Dora Cruz and Brian Acosta.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek.

Lester Aaron Cruz, de 21 años, de Goose Creek, Carolina del Sur, falleció el miércoles 9 de septiembre de 2026. 

Nacido el 8 de abril de 2005 en Hempstead, NY, fue hijo de Arlen Cruz Medina. 

Lester siempre puso a Dios primero. Le encantaba practicar deportes y uno de sus favoritos era el boxeo. Le encantaba ir al gimnasio y hacer ejercicio. Amaba la música y le encantaba bailar. Amaba el anime y era un gran fan de los superhéroes de Marvel. Le gustaba leer.

 Lester siempre pensaba en los demás antes que en sí mismo. Se preocupaba por sus amigos y familia, especialmente por sus hermanas. Tenía un lugar especial en su corazón para la familia Castro, especialmente para sus padrinos, Eujenio y Luz Castro.

A Lester le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus amigos: Abraham, Ethan, Jared, Chato, JR, Brooke, Hannah, Tyler y Ricardo

Lester le sobreviven su madre, Arlen Y. Cruz Medina y su padrastro, Rubén Gutiérrez; sus hermanitas, Natali D Gómez y Anamaría Gutiérrez; su abuela, Edilia Medina; sus tíos: Tavo Cruz, Omar Núñez, Oscar Núñez y Jorge Cruz; tías: Edilia Núñez, Emely Martínez, Nena Cruz y Sandra Cruz; primos: Angie Gómez, Sofía Gómez, Ariana Gómez, Miguel Gómez Jr., Omar Núñez, Isabel Núñez, Oscar Núñez, Jaden Cruz, Aiden Cruz, Samuel Cruz, Dora Cruz y Brian Acosta.
