Lisa Marie Seeber

Lisa Marie Seeber, 64 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Born on April 29, 1961 in Palo Alto, CA, she was the daughter of the late Delain Dechaine (Mitson) and Rexford Mayers, stepfather James Dechaine.

Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, and teacher. She found joy in education - spending many years of her life as a middle school teacher. Lisa took a particular interest in current events, South Carolina history, and civics (“street law”). Her most memorable classroom moments involved the conversations she got to have with her students. She took pride in knowing and caring for each student that passed through her classroom. In her personal life, she loved to travel and read. The Hawaiian Islands held a special place in her heart. Lisa and her husband made many fond memories exploring the islands and on the West Coast. She raised two successful children, whom she loved with her whole heart. Summers were spent at the family cabin in Upstate New York where she enjoyed relaxing, spending time with family, and preparing for the next year of school.

Lisa is survived by her husband Charles Corey Seeber; stepfather, James Dechaine; father, Rexford Mayers; daughter Savannah Marie Seeber; son, Charles Zachary Seeber; and brother, James Mayers.

A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be held on May 16th, 2026 from 10am to 12pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor Lisa by reading a good book, getting outside, and spending time with those that you love.
