Luane Lynn Brickhouse

West Columbia- We are sad to announce the passing of Luane Brickhouse, 56, of West Columbia. She was the daughter of the late Lucille and Linwood Brickhouse.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 200 State St, West Columbia, SC 29169 on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A private service for the family will be held at a later date.

Luane loved preparing home cooked meals, making delicious desserts, and hosting family and friends. She had a knack for crafting and creating extravagant gifts for everyone. She enjoyed antiquing and refurbishing unique items into eclectic collectables. She had a heart of gold for people, animals, and plants. Her love of beauty extended into her career as a cosmetologist. Her clients at Shear Image by Design in Lexington felt her passion for creating beauty every time they visited her. She was truly one of a kind with the spirit of a firecracker.

She is survived by her sister, Gail Bodie (Phil) and brother, Pete Brickhouse (Angie). She has three nieces, Tanya Thompson (Jim), Trish Stabler (Ed), and Rachelle Brickhouse; one great nephew, Ryan Mullins (Amber), three great nieces, Shilah LaCoe (Zach), Tristen Thompson, and Kaylah Mullins; one great-great nephew, Connor Crowe, and two great-great nieces, Paislee Mullins and Sawyer Thompson; and lastly her final love, her fur-baby, Tinkerbell.
