Lucca Salvatore
Acosta
May 6, 2006 – April 25, 2026
Lucca Acosta-Navas, a son, brother, nephew, grandson, godson, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 25, 2026.
Lucca was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on May 6, 2006, to Jennifer Navas and Sergio Acosta. They then moved to South Carolina and continued to develop their beautiful life.
Lucca was an energetic kid growing up. His first love was music. He knew how to identify music by its tone and rhythm. Lucca loved salsa, bachata, merengue, and anything that was Latin. He was a proud Ecuadorian and Uruguayan. He developed a range of talents, including creating music, singing, dancing, creating poetry, and playing many different instruments. Music made him smile, and when he sang or played his instruments, he always made us smile. Lucca was set to graduate on June 1, 2026, from Odyssey Online Learning. Lucca became an activist for those who did not have a voice. He protested for the rights of our brothers and sisters. He protested for various movements. He was vocal about human rights; he wanted the world to change.
Lucca was more than loved. He was appreciated, admired, wanted, and made everyone feel loved. Lucca had a graceful, beautiful soul that made everyone feel safe and peaceful. His wise words made us look at him and question "who is he? So young but wise". He was a gentleman and knew how to love and appreciate those around him. Lucca was a woman lover. He loved the privilege of having free will, and he used it correctly. Lucca was free-spirited. He believed that living life meant living it to the fullest, making mistakes, and being okay with them, because he knew life was full of adventures and life lessons. He loved trying new things and being active.
Lucca is preceded by his Nonna, Jennifer and grandfather, Clever.
Surviving are his parents; Jennifer, Sergio, Fatah; Alessandro (brother); Orianna (sister); Jerico (uncle); Grace (aunt); Sara ( aunt); Gustavo (grandfather); Miriam (grandmother); cousins: Isabella, Amelia, Jorge, Leslie, Natalia, Alejandro, Carlos, Juan; and his friends that love him dearly.
Lucca's service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on May 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM. After which, for 9 nights there will be rosary prayers- anyone is welcome to join.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his gofund me and any charity that stands for human rights.
