Lydia M. Rodriguez Connolly, 61 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Born on November 14, 1964 in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Lydia Diaz Rodriguez and the late Luis Rodriguez.

Lydia was a strong woman. She was a very loving, caring, giving person. If she had something and you needed it, she would give it to you. If you needed her, she was there. She had a heart for the homeless or anyone who had less than. A spokesperson for people who needed a voice. She was very proud of her roots, her heritage was something she passed on to her children.

Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Connolly.

Lydia is survived by her daughters: Lydiana Perez, Maria-Victoria Perez, and Yolanda Carmen Perez; sisters: Lydia Rodriguez Carter, Lydia Maggna Rodriguez, Lydia Estelle Rivera, and Lydia Diaz; brother, Felix Robledo; grandchildren, William Miguel McCloskey and Emile Rafael Antar Diab; nieces and nephews: Elisabeth Lydia Letriz, Roberto Letriz Jr., Ian Carter, Alexa Carter, Christian Diaz, Jasmin Diaz and Angel Letriz.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
