Martin Michael Lukasavage Jr. "Mike", 71 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026.
Born on February 23, 1955 in Charleston, SC, Mike was the son of the late Helen Drawdy Lukasavage and Martin "Marty" Michael Lukasavage.
Mike graduated from James Island High School, the "Mighty Rams" in Charleston, SC. He enrolled in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and worked as a car mechanic following high school. Mike was the owner of High Performance Auto Sales on Maybank Highway, and he was a top car salesman at many other locations in the local area. He was a maintenance worker for Abberly using the trade skills taught to him by his late father. He enjoyed spending time with close friends and family, working on cars, watching Nascar and NFL with his cats and dog, Yama. He was a supportive father who was actively involved in his children's lives calling them every day, and he will be greatly missed.
Mike is predeceased by his parents; his infant brother, Jeffrey Victor Lukasavage; aunt, Margie Pooser; uncle, Ira Pooser; and cousin, Donald Pooser.
Mike is survived by his son, Jeffrey Michael Lukasavage; daughter, "Niki" Justin Nicole Kernodle; son-in-law, Bayard Kernodle; grandson Waylan Kernodle; Elisa Welch Terrell (mother of Jeffrey and Nicole); special cousins: Fred (Francis) Pooser, Robert Pooser (Lori), Allison Crosby (Lanier); and cousins: Carolyn, Chelsea, Natalie, MacKenna, Jalyn; and many more beloved cousins and friends.
The visitation and family greeting will be held at 10:00 AM at James Island Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will take place at 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery. All friends and family are encouraged and welcome to return to James Island Baptist Church to enjoy BBQ and share stories and memories in honor of Mike Lukasavage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to our beloved church, James Island Baptist Church at 2023 Wappoo Drive Charleston, SC 29412, (843) 762-0244.
