Maureen Moffatt Myers

Ms. Maureen Moffatt Myers, 84 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

The only daughter of Charles and Ruth Brady, she was born November 15, 1939, in Brooklyn NY.  she studied English at the College of New Rochelle and was a copywriter and art director in the golden age of New York advertising.   she married Tom Myers and had a son, Thomas.

In 1979, Maureen and her family moved to Charleston.  Her love of life and curiosity towards the arts brought her to the Spoleto Festival, where she volunteered for many years, organizing charitable auctions, creating trip itineraries, and often ushering.

Maureen loved to travel and see the world.  she went often to Europe, and to her hometown of New York City, visiting her son.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her friends.   Many, many good times were had by all.

She is survived by her son, Thomas and his husband Vincent, of New York City.

 A Memorial service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1PM, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 67 Anson. Street,

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to (Charity Name and Address).
