Myrna Delaine Sackman-Ware

Myrna Delaine Sackman-Ware, 84, of Summerville, SC passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Born on March 31, 1940 in Mobridge, SD, she was the daughter of the late Emma Leidholt Sackman and the late Herman Sackman.

Myrna's journey was one of resilience, compassion, and laughter. She cherished her family and friends and was strong in her Christian faith. Myrna was talented in many areas and had a variety of hobbies. She was a small business owner, loved to paint, make homemade cards, and bake oatmeal cookies. Myrna loved to bowl, play tennis, and card games. She was active in her church, was a member of the Garden Club and Vet Mates, and a volunteer for Wreaths Across America.

Myrna is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ware and her parents. 

Myrna is survived by her daughters, Laurie O'Connell, Tracy Ware, and Hallie Harvey; her grandchildren, Austin O'Connell, Aaron O'Connell and wife Sam, Rachel O'Connell, Kiley O'Connell, and Emma Harvey; her brother, Dennis Sackman and wife Pat; and her sisters, Della Neumiller and Linda Bailey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM at Smyrna United Methodist Church, 724 Cypress Gardens Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:00PM at Smyrna United Methodist Church, 724 Cypress Gardens Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461. 

The burial will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
