Norman Laurie Kinsey

March 28, 1935 — May 16, 2016

Norman L. Kinsey, 81, of Goose Creek, passed away May 16, 2016. Born in Ehrhardt, SC, he was the son of the late Norman C. and Inez Benton Kinsey and husband to the late Peggy Faulkner Kinsey. Norman served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Rigger Superintendent. He was an active member at Midway Baptist Church. Norman loved his church, his family and the University of South Carolina. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Sherry Villeponteaux and husband Gene of Moncks Corner, Paula Boudreau and husband Henry of Manning, Vicki Pratt and husband Leonard Craven of Moncks Corner and Kimberly Schwartz and husband Dino of Moncks Corner; brother, Marshall Bruce Kinsey of Charleston. Norman is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, daughter, Nannette Langston and great grandson, Leiland Craven. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church, 506 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, please honor Norman with donations to either, Midway Baptist Church, 506 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445 or Agape Hospice, 2680 Elms Plantation Boulevard, Suite 101, Charleston, SC 29406.
