Mrs. Patricia Singletary Clamp, 80, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

She was born on October 9, 1944, in Lake City, SC and was the daughter of (the late) Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Margaret) Singletary.

She was a graduate of Lake City High School, Anderson College and South Carolina State University. She taught first grade at Sheridan Elementary in Orangeburg, SC for nearly 25 years before retiring and moving to Folly Beach. She adored the close-knit coastal community life, and one of her greatest passions was playing the organ for Sunday morning church service.

Mrs. Clamp is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pennell M. Clamp Sr., her daughter Elizabeth Caskey, and brothers Jackie Singletary and John Singletary.

She is survived by her son, Pennell M. Clamp, Jr.; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her “Nana,” Haley Fickling (Sheldon), Justin Clamp (Brittany), Andrew Smith, Trenton Smith, Lauren Smith, Atlas Clamp, Amery Clamp, and John Fickling; as well as a brother Sammy (Joyce) Singletary.

A Celebration of Life service is being held at a later date and will be posted when available.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Folly Beach United Methodist Church.
