Patricia Kathleen Kelly, lovingly known as Pat, passed away peacefully at her home at The Village at Summerville on May 13, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1930, in the Bronx, New York, to Edward and Amelia Concannon.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Kelly, on May 26, 1951, and together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, friendship, and love. While living in Long Island, New York they started their family. They had five children: Kathleen Kennedy (Clark), Kevin Kelly (Janie), Kim Walsh (Rick), Kerry Watson (Doug), and Keith Kelly (Leslie).

She was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Kelly Applegate, Susan Nunnaly, Ryan Kennedy, Catherine Kelly, Michael Kelly, Jennifer DeSalvo, Brandy Keller, Brittany Mosher, Logan Kelly, and Dillon Kelly, as well as eight beloved great-grandchildren.

Pat dedicated her life to caring for her family and supporting her community. As her children grew, she volunteered in their schools and activities, including Girl Scouts, and swim team. She was a gifted artist who loved painting and creating handmade treasures for those she loved. Her knitting and sewing talents became cherished family traditions through the blankets, Christmas stockings, and Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls she lovingly made by hand.

The family later moved to Richmond and then retired in Summerville, where she became deeply involved in her community. She was known as the woman with the bright smile and encouraging words for everyone she met. She also enjoyed traveling with lifelong friends, exploring the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Pat and Ken shared a love of adventure and traveled to places such as Japan and Norway, but Ireland held a special place in their hearts as they explored their ancestry together.

In later years, Pat and Ken moved to Southern Palms, where Pat served for many years on the HOA board as president. She truly loved her community and the people in it.

Above all else, Pat treasured her family. She often said, "Aren't we lucky to have each other?" She was deeply proud that her family loved one another and grew into kind and caring people. Her family was her proudest accomplishment.

Pat made the world a better place through her positivity, encouragement, creativity, and unconditional love. She brought joy, comfort, and laughter to those around her and had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she adored. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
