Paul Eugene Jones was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 13, 1955. He passed away on July 19, 2025, in Moncks Corner. He leaves behind his parents, Paul and Mary Jones, his son, Tim and his significant other, Anita. He also leaves his sister-in-law Cindy Jones, niece Amy (Marcus) and their children Marisol and Evie; nephew Jamie (Molly) and their children Hunter and Barrett. Paul was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl Wright and brother James Jones.
Paul was a very kind and generous man who loved family get-togethers. He was very talented and loved to play his guitar and sing with his musical Aunt Rita and Uncle Lonnie. He spent many evenings playing on the front porch for neighbors or at campfires with friends. He would also entertain with his harmonica.
Paul was a hard worker and retired from the Air Force in 2001. He made the best southern potato salad you ever would want to eat, along with barbecued ribs. He often grilled in the backyard on Sunday afternoon. Paul was excited about this year's summer garden and his tomatoes, jalapenos and bell peppers he was growing. He tried his best to grow cucumbers, but the weather wasn't conducive this year.
Paul and his son, Tim were avid fisherman and also liked to camp, loving the outdoors. Sometimes they would just sit on the front porch on a cool summer night and enjoy conversations with each other. Paul loved to go on cruises with his partner, Anita and his brother James and his wife Cindy. When his cousin Eugenia and her husband Jim came to Edisto to enjoy the beach Paul was always included in their fun and frolicking.
Family dinners were always special at the home of his parents. Mary and Paul hosted many meals where everyone would get together and talk about what was going on in each of their lives.
