Peggy Ann Williamson, 91, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on April 16, 1935, in Horry County, SC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Eppie Williamson Small and the late Eulo Holloway Small. 

Peggy was a member of Wando Woods Baptist Church. She was a longtime employee of the Charleston County School District, primarily at Garrett High School and Garrett Academy of Technology, where she was a member of the Hall of Fame and a recipient of The Good Apple Award.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Venoy B. Williamson; her son, B. Dale Williamson; infant daughter, Debra Ann Williamson; brothers: T.J. Adams, Herbert Small and Eulo Small Jr.; and sisters: Mary Collins, Eva Small, Lacie Shelley, Margaret Sarvis and Emma Currie. 

Peggy is survived by her son, Danny Williamson (Linda) of Summerville, SC; four grandchildren: Drew Williamson, Daniel Williamson (Baillee), James Williamson and Kelli Kirkpatrick (Weaver); one great-grandchild, Tucker Williamson; sister, Earlease Heath of Columbia, SC; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, officiated by her nephew, The Reverend James C. Shelley. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC.
