Pennell M. Clamp

Pennell McDaniel Clamp, 81 of Folly Beach South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

He was born on May 2, 1942 in Aiken, SC, a son of the late Pennell and Helen (Carswell) Clamp.

He was a Christian, a member of the Folly Beach United Methodist Church, a former city councilman of the City of Folly Beach, a retired plant manager at Utica Tool Company in Orangeburg SC, a loving husband, a proud father, a devoted son, an outdoorsman, and a Clemson football fan.

Pennell is preceded in death by his parents, Pennell T. Clamp and Helen C. Clamp, a daughter Beth Clamp Caskey and brother, Alec Clamp.

Pennell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Singletary Clamp, a son, Danny Clamp, two sisters, Martha Clamp Witt (Mac) and Jane Clamp Graziano (Joel), a sister in-law, Alexia Corder Clamp, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Folly Beach United Methodist Church in Folly Beach, SC on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Salley Oakview Cemetery, 3071 Sally Road, Salley, SC 29137.
