Raquel Laguatan

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raquel Fisco Laguatan - a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Raquel passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 3, 1962, in Zambales, Philippines, Raquel's life was a radiant testament to strength, generosity, and joy. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Augusto, for 34 wonderful years, and a fiercely loving mother to Ojie, Sandy Anne, Rachel, and Michael Louis. Raquel built a life rooted deeply in love, loyalty, and laughter.

Raquel had a gift for making every person she met feel like family. Her infectious smile, her warm and comforting hugs, and her boundless kindness touched all who were blessed to know her. She lived with an open heart, always placing the needs of others before her own, and standing as a quiet but mighty champion for her family through every chapter of life.

Her passions reflected her adventurous and nurturing spirit. Raquel found pure joy in the simple, beautiful moments - tending lovingly to her garden, reeling in the catch of the day on family fishing trips, sharing home-cooked meals full of warmth and love, and enjoying the laughter and camaraderie of a lively bowling match. Some of her happiest memories were made under the stars while camping with her loved ones, where she reveled in nature's peace and the comfort of family close by. Above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her grandchildren, Laviana, Izabel, and Vincent, who brought endless light to her days.

Raquel is survived by her loving husband, Augusto; her children, Ojie and his wife, Clhavinzky, Sandy Anne, Rachel, and Michael Louis; her cherished grandchildren, Laviana, Izabel, and Vincent; and her extended family and countless friends who were blessed by her love. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Eustaquio and Dominga Fisco, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Raquel's beautiful life will be held on May 4th, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek. Her Catholic Funeral Mass will follow on May 5th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, SC.

Raquel, your love was a light in our lives - unwavering, unconditional, and unforgettable. Your spirit will live on in the gardens you tended, the meals you lovingly prepared, the adventures you embraced, and the family you loved so fiercely.

You will be forever loved and deeply missed.
