Richard Ray Teague

Richard Ray Teague, 77 of Cross, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Born on July 17, 1944 in Gaffney, SC Richard was a Son of the late Marie Teague (Pennington) and Willard Teague.

Richard served 26 years in the US Navy and achieved rank of Chief Petty Officer.  He served during the Embargo of the Cuban Missile Crisis. After his retirement from the Navy Richard worked at Hill-Rom and South Carolina Research Authority until 2011. Richard enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his sons, John Teague (Linda) and David Teague; a brother, Sam Teague; a sister, Geraldine Waters; his grandchildren, Angela, Raven, Lilyth, Izabel (Izzy), and Ivy; and the mother of his sons, Margaret (Rose) Teague.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 5-6PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina. A service will follow at 6PM.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 1PM at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.
