Rita “Darlene” Menz, 77, of Ravenel, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Born on December 26, 1948, in Rochester, NY, Darlene was the daughter of the late Harriet Peters Menz and the late Richard Menz.

Darlene grew up in Lima, NY, where she formed lifelong memories with family and friends. She was deeply loved by them all.

In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn and Joan; and nephew, Joseph.

Darlene is survived by her sister, Karen (Tom); nephew, Tom (Jessica); nieces, Jenna and Ali (Jeb); grandnephews, Jackson and Beau; grandniece, Marilyn; and many loving cousins and dear friends.

A private funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Charleston, SC. A private graveside service will be held at St. Rose Cemetery, Lima, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Darlene’s memory may be made to St. Rose Cemetery, P.O. Box 8A, Lima, NY 14485.
