Rita Jane Young

Rita Jane Young, 83 of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Born on September 20, 1941, in Charleston, SC, Rita was a daughter of the late Camille (Ryan) Young and William Herman Young. Rita was a people person that enjoyed meeting new friends.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, William and Camille Young; brother, George Patrick Young. Rita is survived by William Michael Young (Deborah); and nephew, Kevin Michael Young.

A special thanks to the staff of the Beaufort County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs that were there to help her for many years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 60 Huguenin Avenue, Charleston, SC 29401. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Rita.
