It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert V. Geiger, Jr. who departed this life on July 23, 2026. Bob was born to Robert Vanclave Geiger and Dorothy Young Geiger. He was predeceased in death by his daughter, Lisa Geiger Kitchens, son, Rhett Traynham Brownlee and brother, Richard Geiger.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Brownlee Geiger, his son, Robert V. Geiger, III (Tracie), his daughter, Lisha Brownlee Wade (Jay), and daughter-in-law, Allison Brownlee as well as his grandchildren, Taylor Rugheimer (Gunther Vacek), Meagin Rugheimer Leaird (Garrett), Connor Brownlee (Mackenzie), Logan Brownlee Martin (Jacob), Clay Geiger, Cody Geiger (Olivia), Curtis Kitchens (Amber), and Patrick Kitchens. He was blessed with four great grandchildren: Crew Brownlee, Damien and Owen Kitchens, and Rebecca Kitchens.

Bob enjoyed many hobbies in life. He loved to ride his motorcycle on road trips, he made many memories with his wife, Audrey, on group vacations with great friends, and he also was a member of a bowling team for over 30 years. One of Bob's greatest joy in life was his family. He loved to spend as much time as he possibly could at the Geiger Pond catching fish and spending time with loved ones. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard after 25 years of service and later started his own inspection business.

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, and I kept the faith. To know him was to love him. In Christ we will be united again."

The visitation and memorial service will both be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home located at 2501 Bees Ferry Rd, Chas., SC 29414 from 11am-1pm on August 4, 2026. There will be a graveside service to follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
