Robert John McArthur

Robert John McArthur "Bob," 93, of Daniel Island, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 1, 2022.
Bob was born on September 2, 1928, in Cavalier, ND to the late Lemuel Menzo McArthur and Kathleen McGurran McArthur. He was the brother of Dorothy Ault, Lucille Lorenzen, and Donald McArthur.
After his marriage to Nina Allene Erlendson, Bob served in the Korean War. He was later employed in the field of electronics and power generation, retiring from the State of California Department of Water Resources where he worked in hydroelectric power. He enjoyed travel and spending time with his family.
Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all, especially his wife of 72 years, Nina McArthur; his son, Timothy McArthur and his spouse, Brenda, of Folsom, CA; his daughter, Robin Long and her spouse, Gary, of Mount Pleasant, SC; his three beloved grandchildren: Katrina Ward and her spouse, James, of Folsom, CA; Kaitlin McArthur of Folsom, CA; and Magnus McArthur of Folsom CA; as well as a host of other relatives.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
