Robert B Koch

Robert B. Koch, 85, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, September 28,
2023.

Born on February 19, 1938, in New York City, he was the son of Catherine Koch (Nugent) and
Steven Koch.

Robert graduated from Manhattan College and later received his Master of Science from
Adelphi University. He had a fulfilling career as an electrical engineer.

Robert attended Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, SC and was especially fond
of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Robert volunteered for the Board of Elections. He enjoyed
swimming, kayaking, going to the beach, and flying his drone. He was also an active member of
a Bible study group.

Robert is survived by his spouse Barbara Adams Koch as well as his four children: Christopher
Koch (Jessica), Patricia Bellistri, Gregory Koch (Karen), and Eva Koch. In addition, he is
survived by stepchildren Christine Chiavelli (John) and William Adams (Yingjie Shu) as well as
several grandchildren. Robert is also survived by his 3 sisters: Janet Phillips, Barbara Lowry,
and Eileen Sorrentino.

The service will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 12:30pm at St Andrew Apostle Catholic
Church at 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902. Burial will follow at 2pm at Gate of
Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
