Robert “Robbie” Ford Hancock II

Mr Robert Ford Hancock II, 62 of Saint Stephen, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Born on July 15, 1960 in Charleston, SC he  was a son of the late Masterchief Robert Ford Hancock (USN) and Roberta Elizabeth Hayden - Hancock. 

Robbie was raised in North Charleston, SC. He was a 1978 graduate of RB Stall High School. An accomplished drummer his entire life, he played in bands across the Southeast before settling into a 34 year career in Wastewater Treatment. An avid gardener and outdoorsman, if he wasn’t playing music, he was hunting, fishing, or caring for his plants. The rest of his free time was devoted to his family. In his later years he loved spending quality time with his nephews John, Jack, and Jacob. 

Robert is survived by Rita Murray (Sister), Stephen Mislan (Brother in Law), Corey and Mona Murray (Nephew), Roberta and JT Whetsell (Niece), John, Jack, and Jacob Whetsell (nephews), and former wife Laura Cannon. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, 7th of November, 2022, from  6:00 PM -  8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - Goose Creek, 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina. 

The service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November  8, 2022 at Harristown Road Baptist Church, 2953 Harristown Rd in Saint Stephen, South Carolina. The burial will be held at Live Oak Memorial Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Carolina Waterfowl Association.
