Robert "Robby" Elliott Matson

Robert "Robby" Elliott Matson, 42 of North Charleston, SC, earned his angel wings on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Born on July 5, 1980, in Charleston, SC, he was a son of Susan Braecklein Matson and Harry Matson Jr. 

Robby loved all sports, but especially bowling, swimming, golf and Clemson football. He was on the Miracle League baseball team. Robby never met a stranger and was loved by all he came in contact with. He was full of joy and love and will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.

Robby is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Robby is survived by his parents, Harry Matson Jr. and Susan Matson; brother, David Hiers (Cathy); sister, Kristen Martin (Christopher); and his nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Palmetto Community Church, 1965 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, following the visitation, at Palmetto Community Church. The burial will follow at Saint Lawrence Cemetery, 60 Huguenin Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403.
