Ruth Ann Metzger, 76, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Born on June 1, 1947, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Ruth Hayes Herdman and Donald Wayne Herdman.
Ruth had a 16-year career as a meeting planner with the Building Owners and Managers Association, International, in Washington, DC; is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts USA, and was the first Board Chair of the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James Metzger; daughter, Amy Piazza; son, Brian Metzger; seven grandchildren; and three siblings.
Inurnment will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Mepkin Abbey, 1098 Mepkin Abbey Road, Moncks Corner, Sc 29461.
