Sharon Ann Willi (nee Hyland), 68, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 12th, 2026.
Born on May 10th, 1957, in Jamaica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Hyland.
Sharon was the Director of Religious Education at Christ Our King Catholic Church for over 30 years before her retirement two years ago. She took a special joy in helping the members of her community whose needs were the greatest. Sharon always took a great interest in those with special needs, those seeking to join the church, and those whose lives had been changed by divorce. She was a lover of mysteries, and a fan of Hercule Poirot, Benoit Blanc, and Sherlock Holmes.
Since her retirement, her greatest joy had been spending time with her grandchildren. Some of Sharon's favorite activities with her grandchildren included doing craft projects for school and recreation, playing card games, and making gingerbread houses every year at Christmastime. She enjoyed welcoming people into her home and believed that the fondest memories are made gathered around the table.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her sister Lauri Hyland, her niece Brenna Hyland-Wayland, and her nephew Shane Hyland.
Sharon is survived by her brother Thomas Hyland, sister Patricia Doris (Robert), two sons, Matthew Willi (Julia) and Thomas Willi (Kathleen), as well as grandchildren Luke, Brian, Jayce, Annalynn, Summer and Aaron.
