Sherry A Strickland

Sherry A Strickland, 46, of Summerville, SC passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Born on September 27, 1977 in Heidelberg, Germany, she was the daughter of Susan Sanford Hilton and Mark Hilton.

Sherry was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and sister. She was an avid outdoors person who very much enjoyed hunting and fishing. She enjoyed spending time at Edisto Beach as it was her personal oasis. She was a lover of local farmers markets and small boutiques. Her greatest love and accomplishment in life was her son, Garon. She spent countless hours on the ball field and in the stands supporting his love of baseball.

Sherry is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frances Sanford along with Sophie and Jack Hilton.

Sherry is survived by her husband, David Strickland; her son, Garon Strickland; her parents, Mark and Susan Hilton; her sisters, Melanie Hilton Semon (Gary) and Aimee Wadford (Lance); her niece, Caroline Wadford; and her mother and father in law, David and Sara Strickland.

The service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MUSC Children's Hospital and American Cancer Society.
