Steven "Stevie" Dennis Bates, 72, passed away on July 20, 2026.
He was the beloved son of Phillip Wardlaw Bates and Mary Ratliff Bates.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Phil Bates, Jr. and Richard Bates.
Stevie is survived by his brothers, Larry Dean Bates and Terry Lee Bates; his cousins; four nephews; two nieces; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and, most importantly, the love of his life, Pam Renner.
