Timothy Gerald Johnson

Timothy Gerald Johnson, 55, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025.

Born on April 20, 1970, in Red Bank, NJ, Timothy was the son of Kathleen DuBey Johnson and the late Richard Johnson.

Timothy loved his family. Timothy was over the moon for his grandchildren. Each one has their own special nicknames. Timothy was an outstanding, impressive ball player. Timothy tried out for the Chicago Cubs. Timothy enjoyed bowling. Timothy would always lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Timothy enjoyed teaching by example of his craftmanship. Timothy was so in love with his wife of 39 years. They moved to South Carolina to start new adventures in life.

In addition to his father, Timothy is preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Richard Johnson, Roger Johnson and Jesse Johnson; as well as Uncle Raymond DuBey and Uncle Walter DuBey.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Darlene Lynn O'Neil Johnson; daughter, Denise, and son-in-law, Frank Giacobe of Summerville, SC; son, Timothy Jr Johnson of Brick, NJ; son, Jonathon, and daughter-in-law, Christie Johnson of Hazlet, NJ; son, Nicholas Johnson of Houston, TX; daughter, Victoria Johnson of Summerville, SC; daughter, Kayla Johnson of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren: Adrianna, Nathan, Jaxson, Avianna, Jonathon Jr. and Julian; his mother, Kathleen DuBey of Keyport, NJ; sister, Kathleen Mueller of Union Beach, NJ; his favorite Aunt Susan Dubey of Matawan, NJ; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

The Johnson family with receive family and friends at 11:00 am, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414. A Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 12 noon, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation.
