Trudy Marie Bauer

Trudy Marie (Braunlich) Goralsky Bauer, widow of Herbert G. Bauer, first married to the late Richard W. Goralsky. Trudy died on August 24, 2026 at her residence.

Born on May 26, 1940, in Teaneck, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Martin Braunlich and Marie Griebstein Braunlich. She was a 1962 graduate of Drew University and worked as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. She and her husband Herbert moved to Mount Pleasant in 1997, when he was transferred to this area by Bayer Corporation. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Isle of Palms, SC, and had been active in the choir, handbells, and as a Shepherd.

She is survived by two stepchildren; Eric Bauer (Jodie) of Hamilton, NJ and Lisa Bauer of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned in October at the First United Methodist Church in Isle of Palms, SC.

After cremation, interment will be at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms, SC or the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC.
