Virginia Trainer Keller

Virginia (Ginny) Trainer Keller, 82 of Hanahan, South Carolina, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born on July 7, 1944, in Peoria, IL, Ginny was a daughter of the late Barbara Ann (Irwin) Greer and the late Leo Frederick Trainer.

Ginny was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and aunt to her beloved family; previously a member of VFW POST 10624 in Mt. Pleasant; graduated from General William Moultrie High School (1963) and was an avid supporter of her country and all veterans who served it.

Ginny is preceded in death by her beloved husband Douglas Keller (MSG Keller, decorated US Army Green Beret, 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles); her parents, Leo Frederick Trainer and Barbara Ann (Irwin) Greer; step-parents, Beulah K. Trainer and James E. Greer; sister, Linda A. Trainer; step-brother Russell H. Greer

Ginny is survived by her three sons, James Farley, Jr. (Jenny), William Farley (Michelle), and Robert Farley; step-daughters, Kathy Edmunds (Stan) and Teri Hanley (Lee); step-sisters, Carla Kirkland (John), Judith Kessler (Harold), Janet Jenkins (Gordon), Peggy Bragg and Kathy Jackson; step-brother, Mike Rollings (Becky); 4 grandchildren; 9 nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life gathering is being planned for a later date.
