Wanda Amick Hammond

Wanda Amick Hammond, 78, of West Columbia, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 18, 1947, in Columbia, South Carolina, Wanda was the daughter of the late Iva Ruth “Polly” and James Amick. 

Wanda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Brannon Hammond; two daughters, Amie (Bryan) Hudson and Brandie (Brian) Murray; and her very beloved grandchildren, Parker and Kathryn “Kate” Hudson and Hannah, Joshua, and Natalie Murray. 

The family will celebrate her life with a private graveside service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal rescue in Wanda’s memory.
