Listen to Obituary

Warren Duane Snow, 94 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Born on April 22, 1931 in Jamestown, New York, he was a son of the late Venice Snow O'Neill (Strong) and Robert Snow.

Warren was a decorated United States Navy veteran who proudly served multiple tours of duty during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and other overseas military operations. He carried that same sense of dedication and strength into his life at home, where he was a devoted husband, father, and family man.

He found great joy in staying active, especially through his beloved power walks along the beach and through neighborhood streets. His enthusiasm was so infectious that one nephew earned the nickname “Sporty” just for keeping pace with him. Warren’s family cherishes memories of Sunday dinners, matinee movie outings, and long, laughter-filled days at the beach—playing in the surf, building sandcastles, and leading those famous walks.

An avid bowler well into his 90s, Warren demonstrated remarkable determination by teaching himself to bowl left-handed after an injury, maintaining an impressive average. He loved the camaraderie of team sports and was known for his fun-loving competitiveness, steady positivity, and unwavering encouragement of others.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie Ruth Snow (Warren); sons Steven Duane Snow, Kevin O’Hara Snow, and Eric Blaine Snow[ES1] ; brother, Marion Robert Snow; and sisters, Mary Deatta Snow and Carol Louise Novak.

He is survived by his son, Dana Snow; six grandchildren (Robin, Ian, Elizabeth, Warren, Melissa, and Cody); four great-grandchildren (Landon, Gabrielle, Alice, and Caston); two great-great grandchildren (Liam and Violet); and many other loved ones. He was also a grandfather figure to many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Florence National Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina. The family will receive friends at his home following the service.
