Wayne Joseph Jacobs

Wayne Joseph Jacobs, 66, of North Charleston SC, entered eternal rest on January 17, 2026

Born on July 14, 1959, Charleston, SC. Wayne was a son of the late George Whaley Jacobs Sr. and Elizabeth Dodds Jacobs.

Wayne was a former employee of Robert Smalls Shipping Company, at the Amoco plant. He was a valuable employee for about 16 years. He became disabled around 1996. Wayne has lived with his sister, Doris, for the past 17 years.

Wayne was a graduate of Wando High School, class of 1978.

Wayne loved to pray. He read his bible and said the rosary for hours. He loved to go on Facebook to stay in touch with family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his siblings Daniel Jacobs of Summerville, SC, Helen Anderson Fort Mill SC, Leo Jacobs Cross SC, Loretta Sloan (Alfred) of Mannington, WV, and Doris Meeks, North Charleston, SC. He was predeceased in death by his brothers George Whaley Jacobs Jr, Charles Bernard Jacobs, and sister in laws Linda Marie Jacobs, Micha Jacobs and brothers in law Michael Anderson Sr. and Edward J Meeks.

The family will receive friends for a viewing on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation 1520 Rifle Range Rd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

A Funeral Mass starting at 12:30 PM will be held on Thursday, January 29th, 2026 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church at 1106 Fort Dr, Hanahan, SC 29410. The burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution in Wayne's memory at the charity of your choice.
